Artful Angler

The ArtfulAngler.co.uk is a newly launched website from the South West of England. The Artful part of the
angler coming in part from the Caricatures that can be ordered from the site, done by one of the two main
people behind the site Rob Kavanagh. There are examples on the site in their gallery section, and the prices look reasonable, though
I ve not personally seen/ordered a copy as yet.

The site is well laid out with easy to follow navigation and an attractive design and several interesting
features, including a website promotion tool Phil the Fish which follows a similar approach to the MillionDollarHomePage
site, though this time not costing as much and in the design of a fish.

There are some interactive sections which encourage input from visitors including UK & World Catch reports, venues, tackle
and shops. Currently there is only a little content in these areas as to be expected with a new site, but hopefully visitors
and the sites designers (both Rob and Matt Parker have added some, with other visitors already) these sections will grow into some
really useful additions. You can even add your catch photo to the catch reports to show off! The sign up process is straightforward
on the site and allows you to post to all these features and the sites forum, so I would encourage visitors to add their own
contributions to ArtfulAngler.

ArtfulAngler also has some of the best fish profile pages, I ve seen on a fishing website with good details on the fish, its charateristics,
feeding habits and the authors tips to catch them. Whilst mentioning fish profiles the site is worth a look just on the Great White Shark
feature on the site. Yes that shark of Jaws infamy, go on have a look yourself.

In addtion to what I ve mentioned above there s also a forum, fishing holidays and venue finder and more on ArtfulAnlger.co.uk.

Overall it s a great start for the ArtfulAngler website, lets hope it gets the contributions it deserves. If the content continues to grow then the rating of 8 will seem low in the future.
